Account settings, password, deletion
Your account settings live under the user menu (top-right on web, profile tab on iOS).
Profile
- Name — your display name. Shown on your storefront and on any comments you post.
- Email — your login. Changing email requires re-verifying the new address.
- Avatar — optional profile picture, shown on storefront and comments.
Password
If you signed up with email/password:
- Change password from the settings page; you'll be asked for the old one for security.
- Forgot it? On the login page, click Forgot password. We send a reset link to your email. The link is single-use and expires.
If you signed up with Google or Apple, there's no separate ComicInk password — sign in via the OAuth provider you used originally.
Language preference
Your account language controls:
- The UI language (sidebar, buttons, dialogs)
- The default language for new series and issues you create
Change it from settings. The 10 supported languages are: English, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, French, Portuguese (Brazil), German, Hindi, Italian, and Turkish.
Existing series and issues keep their original language regardless of your preference change.
Notification preferences
Configure email notifications for:
- Image generation completions (when a long-running generation finishes)
- Collaboration invites
- Out-of-credits alerts
- Storefront sales (if you have a storefront)
iOS users also receive push notifications by default; manage those in iOS Settings → Notifications → ComicInk.
Referral program
Each account gets a personal referral link. Share it; when someone signs up via your link, you earn credits.
How much you earn per referral:
- 1st through 5th referral: 100 credits each
- 6th through 20th referral: 50 credits each
- 21st and beyond: 25 credits each
Diminishing returns are intentional — they keep the program from being a primary growth mechanic at high volume.
The person you referred does not get a special bonus — they get the standard 500 free signup credits like any new user.
To find your referral link: sidebar → Refer & Earn. Copy the link or the short code (?ref=ABC123) and share.
Account deletion
Deleting your account is irreversible. It removes:
- Your profile
- All your series, issues, pages, panels
- All your characters, worlds, assets
- Your storefront (if any)
- Your credit balance
- Your referral history
Stripe Connect payout history stays in Stripe regardless — only your ComicInk account is removed.
Before you delete:
- Export anything you want to keep (right-click and save published images).
- Make sure you've drawn down any credit pack you bought — refunds for unused credits aren't issued on account deletion.
- If you have an active storefront with pending payouts, complete those first.
To delete: settings → Delete account. You'll be asked to confirm via your email.
