Buying credit packs

When your free 100 credits run out, you can top up by buying a credit pack. There are four packs.

Pack purchases are available to customers who bought credits before ComicInk Plus launched, anyone buying in the iOS app, and ComicInk Plus subscribers — see Subscriptions below for the full picture. If that's you, nothing about the steps below has changed.

What each pack gets you

Roughly (a comic page or cover costs 50 credits; a Story Video costs about 152 credits per second of finished footage at 720p):

  • Lite (1,500 credits) — about 30 page-or-cover generations. A short comic to find your feet.
  • Starter (4,500 credits) — about 90 page-or-cover generations, or a ~20-second narrated Story Video.
  • Creator (12,000 credits) — about 240 page-or-cover generations — a full series — or roughly 79 seconds of Story Video.
  • Video (30,000 credits) — about 600 page-or-cover generations, or about 2.5 minutes of Story Video. Best per-credit rate.

Where to buy

On web at comicink.ai:

  1. Click your credit balance in the dashboard sidebar (or click "Buy credits" anywhere it appears).
  2. Choose a pack.
  3. You're sent to Stripe's checkout. Pay with card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, or any other Stripe-supported method.
  4. Credits are added to your account immediately on successful payment.

On iOS in the ComicInk app:

  1. Tap your credit balance.
  2. Choose a pack.
  3. Apple's In-App Purchase sheet opens. Confirm with Face ID / Touch ID / passcode.
  4. Credits are added immediately on successful payment.

Same price across platforms

Apple takes a 30% cut of iOS in-app purchases. Stripe takes ~3% on web. The price you pay is the same on both platforms — we absorb the platform-fee differences.

Multi-currency

Stripe and Apple handle currency conversion automatically based on your billing country. The displayed price is in your local currency. Pricing uses Apple's and Stripe's standard price mappings for each region, so prices in non-USD currencies may not be exact mathematical conversions.

Receipts and invoices

  • Stripe (web): Stripe sends a receipt email automatically. You can also download a PDF invoice from your account settings.
  • Apple (iOS): receipts come from Apple, not from us. Find them in your App Store account history.

Can I get a discount or volume pack?

Not currently — the four packs are it. The larger packs already include the volume discount (the price per credit drops as the pack gets bigger).

Refunds

Credit-pack purchase refunds: see failed generations and refunds. For purchase disputes, contact support via the chat bubble.

Subscriptions

If you were already buying credit packs before ComicInk Plus launched, nothing changes for you — keep buying packs and spending credits at your own pace, and you're never required to subscribe. An optional monthly plan, ComicInk Plus, is also available if you'd rather have credits added automatically plus unlimited Sidekick. See ComicInk Plus subscription. Either way, credits never expire.
