AI Extend and Fix Audio
Once a scene has been rendered you have two ways to refine it without re-rendering from scratch: AI Extend adds more footage to the end of the clip, and Fix Audio re-synthesises the spoken narration and dialogue in the original voice(s).
Both actions live in the video inspector panel on the right-hand side of the editor. Click on a rendered scene clip in the timeline to select it; the inspector opens automatically. You'll see "AI Extend" and "Fix Audio" buttons at the bottom of the panel.
AI Extend
AI Extend lengthens a rendered scene by generating a seamless continuation of the clip. It picks up where the current footage ends and adds new motion that matches the visual style and subject.
When to use it
- The scene feels too short or cuts away before the action resolves.
- You want a slow-hold or lingering shot at the end of a sequence.
- You've trimmed the clip and want to recover some footage without a full re-render.
How it works
- Select a rendered scene clip in the timeline.
- In the inspector panel, click AI Extend.
- The AI Extend dialog opens. Write a brief prompt describing what should happen in the extension (for example, "the character turns and walks away slowly").
- Choose an extension length: +5 seconds or +8 seconds.
- The dialog shows the credit cost for your chosen length. Confirm when you're ready.
- The scene shows a rendering indicator while the extension is generated. When it's done, the clip automatically expands in the timeline.
Credit cost
Extension length | Credits |
|---|---|
+5 seconds | ~900 cr |
+8 seconds | ~1,800 cr |
The exact figure is shown in the dialog before you confirm. Your current balance is checked before submission — if you don't have enough credits you'll see a link to top up. Note that the +8 second option is not available for all video resolutions — the dialog will show only the lengths that apply to your video.

Fix Audio
Fix Audio re-synthesises the narration and dialogue for a scene using the script text and the original voice characteristics of each speaker. Use it when the rendered audio is garbled, out of sync, or missing entirely.
When to use it
- Spoken words are hard to understand or distorted.
- A character's voice doesn't match the text.
- You've edited the scene script and want the audio to reflect the updated lines without re-rendering the whole clip.
How it works
- Select a rendered scene clip in the timeline.
- In the inspector panel, click Fix Audio.
- The Fix Audio dialog loads the current narration and dialogue lines from the scene script. You can edit any line before submitting — changes are saved to the scene script automatically.
- The dialog shows the credit cost for this scene. Confirm when ready.
- The scene shows a rendering indicator while new audio is generated. When it's done, the clip plays back with the corrected audio.
Credit cost
Fix Audio cost scales with the number of spoken lines in the scene (one credit charge per utterance — narration counts as one utterance, each character dialogue line counts as one). The exact credit total is shown in the dialog before you confirm; for a typical scene with two or three lines the cost is well under 50 credits.
What Fix Audio does not change
Fix Audio replaces the spoken audio track only. The video footage, motion, and caption timings are not affected. If you want to change what happens visually, use Re-Render from the inspector panel instead.
Checking your credit balance
Your credit balance is shown in the top navigation bar and updates immediately after any charge. If you run low, you can add credits at any time from Account → Credits. See Story Video credits and costs and Exporting and sharing Story Videos for more on the full render workflow.
