# Generate all reference images in one click

After Sidekick generates a script, it shows a **Reference images** card listing every character, prop and location that still needs a reference image. Yes, Sidekick can make all the character pictures for you, along with your props and locations, at once instead of one by one.

- **Generate all** creates every missing image in one click. The credit cost sits next to the button, at 10 credits per image.
- **Review each first** is the one-at-a-time flow: you open each item, check it, and generate it yourself.

## Order

Images are made in order: characters first (main roles first), then props, then locations (the most-used ones first). Each image appears on the card, and in the **Cast**, **Assets** and **Locations** tabs on the left, as soon as it finishes.

## Not enough credits?

Sidekick generates as many images as your credits cover, in that same order, then offers a top-up. The rest wait on the card behind a **Generate remaining** button. Nothing more starts until you click it.

## If an image fails or is blocked

You aren't charged for it: it's refunded, or never charged in the first place. Click it on the card to open its editor and try again.

If a batch is already running for that comic, the card tells you so.

## Ask Sidekick instead

You can also type: "generate all the reference images". Sidekick asks for your approval first, and the approval card shows how many images it will make and what they cost (for example "8 reference images × 10 = 80 cr"), plus how many your balance covers if it isn't enough for all of them. If the cost goes up before you approve (say, a new character was added), nothing starts and Sidekick asks again at the new price. Sidekick tells you when the images are done and then offers to render your pages.

By default Sidekick covers the characters, props and locations used in the script you have open. To include one that only appears in another issue of the series, name it: "generate the reference image for Ghost".

If you start **Generate all pages** while reference images are still generating, it waits up to about 5 minutes for them. If they still aren't finished, it draws the pages without them.

## Locations and variants

A location needs its main image even if one of its variants already has a picture: pages use the main image unless you choose a variant for them.
