# Frequently Asked Questions: Getting Started

## Can I try ComicInk without creating an account?

Partly. Reading works without an account; creating does not.

- **Read** — browse published comics in the gallery at `comicink.ai/gallery`.
- **Create** — needs a free account. You can type your idea at `comicink.ai/quick` and pick a style before signing up, but pressing **Create Comic** takes you to signup first. Signing up is free, takes a moment, and new accounts start with 100 credits — enough for two pages.

A Quick Comic made anonymously is held for you and transfers to your account when you sign up and verify your email in the **same browser**. See [your first comic](https://help.comicink.ai/en/article/make-your-first-comic-in-60-seconds-1efcuck/).

## Is there an Android app?

No. ComicInk ships as a web app at `comicink.ai` and a native iOS app on the App Store. Android users should use the web app in a mobile browser — it works, though creation is easier on a desktop. See [web vs iOS](https://help.comicink.ai/en/article/web-vs-ios-app-i9s797/) for what differs between the two.

## Can I test the platform on something small before committing to a real project?

Yes, and it's a good idea. Use a deliberately tight scope: two characters, one location, a 4-page issue, dialogue you write yourself, and one art style. That exercises the whole pipeline — character consistency, panel layout, in-image lettering — for a small number of credits, and tells you whether the output suits your project before you commit a long book to it.

You can also do this at zero cost: writing and editing a script is free, so you can build a full issue's script and only generate the pages you actually want to see.

## Will ComicInk generate adult content?

No. Every generation path is content-moderated, and sexual content is blocked. Romance, attraction, and mature themes are allowed. See the [content policy](https://help.comicink.ai/en/article/content-policy-and-what-we-cant-generate-1qennwp/) for exactly where the line sits.

## How do I change the language?

There are two separate language settings, and support questions usually mix them up:

- **The language of your comic** — the language dialogue and narration are written and drawn in. Chosen when you create the comic, and changeable later by [translating the issue](https://help.comicink.ai/en/article/translating-your-comic-ryc8pm/).
- **The language of the ComicInk interface** — menus, buttons, and modals. Set it in your account settings; 10 languages are available. See [account settings](https://help.comicink.ai/en/article/account-settings-password-deletion-rirdlw/).

Changing the interface language does not translate a comic you've already made, and vice versa.

## Is ComicInk affiliated with FlipLiber?

No. ComicInk is not part of, or connected to, FlipLiber.
