# Creating a graphic

A **graphic** is a single image, on its own — a poster, a logo, a sticker, a banner, a channel thumbnail, a book cover. It is not part of a comic and not part of a video. There are no pages, no scenes and no script: one image, which you keep changing until it is right.

Graphics live on the **Graphics** tab of your dashboard, alongside Comics and Videos.

---

## Making one

Press **New Graphic**. There is no set-up form — a comic needs a title and a premise before it can exist, a graphic does not. You land straight in the studio with a blank canvas.

Describe what you want, either by typing into the composer at the bottom or by asking Sidekick in the chat panel:

> Make a poster for my comic, a girl standing on a rooftop at night

Press **Generate** and the image is drawn. Every render costs **50 credits**, including a re-render that only tweaks the wording — there is no free retry, so it is worth being specific the first time.

---

## Naming

A new graphic starts as "Untitled graphic" and names itself once it has something to go on — from your first conversation with Sidekick, or from the prompt behind your first render. It picks something short, like *Comic Poster* or *Basketball Kids*.

You can rename it at any time by clicking the title at the top of the studio, or by asking Sidekick to rename it. **Once you have named it yourself, nothing will rename it again.**

---

## Size and art style

Open **Style & size** in the Tools rail on the left. There are four sizes:

| Preset | Pixels | Good for |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Square | 1024 × 1024 | Avatars, stickers, social posts |
| Poster | 1024 × 1536 | Posters, book covers, print |
| Vertical | 1088 × 1920 | Phone wallpapers, stories, reels |
| Wide | 1920 × 1088 | Banners, thumbnails, headers |

The art style list is the same one your comics use, so a graphic can be drawn to match a series you already have.

Changing either only affects the **next** render. Nothing is redrawn until you generate again, and generating again costs another 50 credits.

---

## Reusing characters, assets and locations

A graphic can borrow anything you have already made. Open the **Assets** tab beside Tools, or type `@` in the chat and pick from the list.

Attached items are sent with every render, which is what keeps a character recognisably the same across a comic, a video and a poster. You can also upload your own reference images — a photo, a logo, a sketch — and attach those the same way.

Ticking an item means "use this in renders". Unticking it leaves it in your library but stops sending it.

---

## Editing what is already on screen

Once a graphic has an image, you can keep working on it rather than starting over:

- **Ask for a change** — "make it bluer", "add a border", "same pose but at night". Sidekick keeps the current image as a reference so the result is a revision rather than a different picture.
- **Remove background** — see Removing the background. This is a cutout, not a redraw.
- **Replace base image** — upload your own picture to work from instead.
- **Version history** — every change is kept. Open it from the Tools rail to look back and restore an earlier image.

Version history is how any image change is undone: a re-render, a replaced base image, a background removal.

---

## Downloading

**Download** in the Tools rail saves the current image to your device as a PNG. It is free and it does not change the graphic. You can also just ask Sidekick to download it.

---

## Sidekick on graphics

Sidekick works here exactly as it does in a comic or a video, and the same **10 free messages** apply before a subscription is needed to keep chatting. Everything else — generating, editing, your credits — keeps working either way.

Anything in the Tools rail, Sidekick can also do: generate, change the art style, remove the background, download, open version history, file the graphic into a collection.

---

## Keeping graphics organised

Once you have more than a handful, group them into folders — see Collections.
